The establishment of UNESCO Chair on Water Reuse has been approved by UNESCO in 2013 and it has started its activities since 2014 officially. The chiarholder is Dr. Mohammad-Hossein Sarrafzaedh, a member of Faculty of Engineering in University of Tehran.(cv)

The objective of this chair is to make a connection between academic and executive sections in relation with water to overcome water scarcity challenge and managing wastewater as an unconventional water resource considering technical, environmental and economical aspects.
